This year, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is celebrating its 93rd anniversary, and the talented Detroit Youth Choir is given the honor of performing during the opening after their spectacular show on America’s Got Talent.
They will perform on November 28 at 10:00 a.m., but the citizens of Detroit will have a chance to hear them sooner on November 22 at the traditional fundraising Hob Nobble Gobble.
The president and CEO of The Parade Co., Tony Michaels, expressed deep admiration for the choir. He said that all are delighted by the fact that they will open the parade.
According to Michaels, the Detroit Youth Choir is making all of Detroit proud. They are the ones who turned the eyes of America towards Detroit, which shines again thanks to their light, Michaels concluded.
On Tuesday night, the choir will represent their hometown once again, performing live during the semi-finals of the famous show.
